Mediation.
Mediation is a cooperative, inexpensive and informal way to resolve disputes. The parties who are in conflict decide whether to resolve the conflict and how to resolve the conflict. Mediation uses a third party, called a mediator, to help the parties try to resolve the disagreement. The mediator helps the parties talk about the problem, understand why they are in disagreement, consider how they might resolve the dispute, and find solutions that help all in the disagreement. The mediator does not make decisions for the parties nor does the mediator give legal advice nor psychological counseling.
Summers Law + Mediation provides the following mediation services:
• Mediation of civil and financial disputes
• Mediation of workplace disputes
• Mediation of child custody and visitation disputes
• Mediation of special education, IEP and school disciplinary issues
• Peer to peer mediation
